Description: The Digital Ancient Near Eastern Studies (DANES) network brings together international scholars from historical, archaeological, philological, and computational disciplines studying the ancient Near East. The main aim of this network is to focus on the application of computational and quantitative methods to the study, pedagogy, and public engagement with ancient cultures from the emergence of writing in Mesopotamia and Egypt, to the entire world up till 800 CE.
This mailing list will keep you updated on the activities of the various working groups, general updates in the world of digital ANE studies, as well as announcements regarding the annual DANES conference, and publications in the OpenDANES platform.
